MEET DR. CHEN
Meet Howard Chen, MD
Dr. Howard Chen is a board certified Family Physician who is additionally Board Certified in Integrative Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, and Medical Acupuncture. He received his BA in Biopsychosocial Health from Brown University, completed medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Washington.
Dr. Chen was the Founding Director of the Medical Acupuncture clinic as well as its successor, the Integrative Primary Care clinic, at Renown Health in Reno, Nevada. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno, School of Medicine, and has lectured internationally on health related topics. Dr. Chen believes that illness and disease have physical, emotional, and spiritual components, and that their treatment and full resolution requires attention to each of these causes.
Dr. Chen has recently completed an 8-month meditation sabbatical, in which he focused on developing medical and spiritual vision and intuition, which he has begun integrating into his work at The Chen Center.
